The Skippack Historical Society invites the community to a special Spring Open House celebration at the historic IndenHofen Farmstead as part of the nationwide “Celebrating our Semiquincentennial – America 250 commemoration.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the farmstead, located at the corner of Evansburg Road and Skippack Pike.

Visitors will have the opportunity to step back in time and experience living history with special guests from the Philadelphia Chapter of the Continental Army Color Guard. The afternoon will feature a ceremonial procession by the Color Guard, followed by a public Reading of the Declaration of Independence from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

The open house offers residents and visitors a chance to gather as a community, reflect on America’s founding, and celebrate the spirit of the nation as the country approaches its 250th anniversary.

Guests are encouraged to bring family and friends to explore the historic farmstead, learn more about local history, and enjoy this meaningful community celebration. Attendees are welcome to stop by for a few minutes or spend the afternoon taking part in the festivities.
