Rain Barrel 2

Residents are invited to join Skippack Township and the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy for a hands-on Rain Barrel Workshop on Thursday, May 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Skippack Township Building, 4089 Heckler Road, Skippack.

During this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will learn how to build and install a rain barrel at home. Each attendee will leave with a fully assembled 55-gallon rain barrel, ready to install and use immediately.

Rain barrels collect and store rainwater from downspouts for reuse around the home, making them ideal for watering plants, cleaning yard equipment, and other outdoor needs. Using rain barrels is a simple and sustainable way to conserve water while helping reduce stormwater runoff in the community.

All materials and tools will be provided, and staff from the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy will guide participants step by step through the assembly and installation process.

Space may be limited, and registration is encouraged.  Register here.
