Skippack Township invites everyone to join us for a day of community, history, and entertainment celebrating America's 250th Birthday.

Fourth of July Parade – 11:00 AM

Kick off the day's festivities at the annual Fourth of July Parade, beginning at 11:00 AM. Come out and show your patriotic spirit as local organizations, community groups, and participants make their way through Skippack in this longstanding holiday tradition.

Please be advised that road closures will be in effect in all event areas during the parade and other scheduled festivities. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time throughout the day.

Celebrate with the Skippack Historical Society

Celebrate Independence Day with the Skippack Historical Society and be part of a day filled with community, history, and tradition.

1:00 PM – Houses of Declaration

Presented by the Skippack Playcrafters, this special program features a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, along with refreshments and opportunities to interact with historical characters.

It's a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors of all ages to experience the history behind our nation's founding.

Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Join us at Palmer Park for an evening of family fun leading up to a spectacular fireworks display!

Parking Information for Fireworks

Please note that grass parking will not be available this year due to ongoing field maintenance and upkeep.

Limited parking ($20) will be available at:

  • Palmer Park Creamery lots
  • Heckler Road lot

Additional parking will be available at the FHY Complex, using the Route 113 entrance by the gym.

Safe pedestrian crossing from FHY into Palmer Park will be provided at Rt 113 and Heckler Road.

We appreciate your cooperation and encourage everyone to plan ahead and arrive early.

Holiday Office Closure

Please be advised that Skippack Township offices will be closed on Monday, July 6, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  Offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 7th at 8 AM.
