UPDATE ON 11/17/25 @ 12:30 pm - TRAIL HAS BEEN REOPENED.
A section of the Skippack Township Trail is temporarily closed between the Collegeville Road entrance and the Heckler Road crosswalk near the Palmer Park parking lot entrance. The closure is in place for public safety after a tree branch fell, bringing a PECO utility wire down across the trail.
The affected area is marked with barricades and road cones to show the area is closed to ensure that trail users remain safely away from the hazard.
PECO has been notified and will address the downed wire. However, an estimated repair time is not yet available. The trail section will remain closed until the utility work is completed and the area is confirmed safe for use.
