Ntl Food Bank Day Sept 5

National Food Bank Day is observed each year on September 5, reminding us of the vital role food banks play in fighting hunger and supporting families in need. In recognition of this important day, Skippack Township is organizing a month-long donation drive throughout September to benefit the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry in Collegeville.

As we come together to support our neighbors, we invite all township residents to participate by donating much-needed food and personal care items.

What to Donate:

We are collecting non-perishable, kid-friendly meal items and essential personal care products, including:

  • Canned foods (soups, vegetables, fruits, meats, pasta meals)
  • Kid-friendly meals (mac & cheese, granola bars, cereal, peanut butter, pasta)
  • Personal hygiene items:
    • Shampoo & body wash
    • Toothbrushes & toothpaste
    • Feminine hygiene products
    • Baby products (diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, formula)

Residents can bring donations to the:

Skippack Township Administration Building, 4089 Heckler Road, Skippack
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
There is a donation bin located in the main lobby.

All collected items will be delivered to the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry, a dedicated local organization working to provide food and support to those experiencing hardship in our area.

Let’s Make a Difference Together - Whether it's one item or a full bag, every donation counts. Your generosity will help ensure that no family in our community goes without food or essential care items this season.
