Skippack Township residents will see a small but important change aimed at improving local road safety. The speed limit on Route 113 (Bridge Road), from Route 73 (Skippack Pike) to Route 29 (Gravel Pike), has been reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph.
The decision, announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), follows concerns of Skippack Township officials about safety along this busy stretch that runs through residential areas and near key intersections. Local officials hope the lower speed limit will encourage safer driving and help protect pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike.
New speed limit signs have been posted, and the change is now in effect. Township leaders are encouraging all motorists—especially local commuters—to take note and drive responsibly.
